GreenMetric UI Ranking: Unipd among the top 200 universities in the world for sustainability again in 2025
The University of Padua enters the top 200 worldwide in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025, ranking 198th and in the 6th global percentile. At national level, it rises to 10th place. Excellent results were achieved, particularly in Waste, Energy and Climate, and Water, confirming the University’s commitment to sustainability.

Violence, health and healthcare: conference in Padua for the Padua Charter 2026
On Friday, 16 January 2026, the University of Padua will host the conference “Violence, Health and Healthcare: the Padua Charter 2026”, dedicated to recognising violence as a public health issue. Experts from the fields of healthcare, justice and academia will discuss prevention, diagnosis and responses from the healthcare system. The conference will conclude with the presentation of the Padua Charter 2026 and the theatrical performance Lela & Co.

Sustainable Art Prize: Giacomo Segantin’s installation ’Indesiderate’ inaugurated
The installation Indesiderate, created by artist Giacomo Segantin together with students from the Universities of Padua, Ca’ Foscari Venice and Verona who took part in the Sustainable Art Prize, was inaugurated on Tuesday, 16 December 2025, at 5:30 p.m., in the Cortile Nuovo of Palazzo del Bo. The installation will be on view until Monday, 22 December.

Art and UniPD research come together in Silvia Canton’s new exhibition dedicated to the bark beetle emergency
The new contemporary art exhibition by Silvia Canton, entitled “Love Ends Where the Grass Ends. After Vaia, the Bark Beetle”, was inaugurated on Saturday, 29 November. The exhibition, hosted at the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa in Venice, features a series of works created using the bark of trees affected by the bark beetle, an insect that worsened the consequences of Storm Vaia in the forests of Northeastern Italy. A material rich in memory, which in the hands of the artist becomes a tangible testimony to the still-open environmental wounds.
