Between nature and memory: Mercedes Lachmann wins the 2025 Sustainable Art Prize
In the context of the ArtVerona fair, the Sustainable Art Prize 2025 was awarded to Mercedes Lachmann. Selected from ten finalists, the artist was recognised for her ability to weave natural materials, knowledge and collective memories into an artistic practice that stimulates ecological awareness. The project will now continue, involving students from the universities of Venice, Padua and Verona in the creation of a new work that will come to life in autumn 2026.

Wanted: biographies of women to be featured in the call for entries “L’Italia delle donne”
Following last year's positive reception, the Department for Equal Opportunities of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers is once again launching the public notice “L'Italia delle donne” (Italy of Women), an initiative aimed at making women who are significantly linked to the territory part of the national collective memory. The deadline for submitting biographies to the Municipality of Padua is November 17.<br>

The second edition of the 10 Theses for Sustainability competition is now open: applications accepted until 31 December 2026
The second edition of the ‘10 Theses for Sustainability’ competition is now open, the first Italian degree award dedicated to sustainability in all disciplines. Promoted by the Symbola Foundation, Luiss Guido Carli and Unioncamere, the competition awards €2,000 to each of the 10 winners selected from among master's degree graduates in 2022/2023 and 2023/2024. Applications are open until 31 January 2026.
