Technology transfer
The University of Padua carries out a variety of actions aimed at transforming the results achieved in technological and innovative research with real-world applications that support positive effects on commercial and entrepreneurial development in local and national environments.
Patents and Spin-offs
The University has joined the Knowledge Shareproject, a portal for sharing information on patents and technologies of Italian Universities and Research Centers, with the aim of giving them international visibility. There are currently more than 50 patent families on the portal.
On the other hand, 58 companies have been established or recognized as University spin-offs.
UniSMART – The Foundation of the University of Padua
Receiving its official foundation status in 2020, UniSMART works to promote technology transfer and postgraduate education. As the meeting point between academic excellence and entrepreneurship, UniSMART creates a bridge to bring the University closer to private and public stakeholders.
Adding value to patents, arranging, managing research projects and innovation consulting activities, the foundation provides educational activities through corporate, life-long learning and Master degree programs while promoting Collaborative European projects and activities involving students and PhD candidates.
