The 2025 competitive season of CUS Padova kicked off with enthusiasm and new goals, inaugurating the sporting year on Friday, 3 October 2025, with the traditional celebration at the facilities in Via Corrado. It was a well-attended and heartfelt event, bringing together over 500 people, including athletes, coaches, managers, families and fans. The University of Padua was also present for the award ceremony for students who distinguished themselves in the last competitive season while pursuing both their studies and athletics.

Once again this year, Team Metis Vela UniPd took part in the 1001VELAcup with two boats made from sustainable materials, finishing in fourth and eighth place. It also took part in the Match Race regatta and won third place in the award for best design. Supported by the University of Padua, the team is now open to new members for future challenges.

From 1 to 5 October, Bellano (LC) will host the 2025 edition of the 1001VelaCup, the international regatta that every year brings together the best university teams, with boats designed and built by students. Among the protagonists is the Mètis Vela team from the University of Padua, winner of the last two editions and the Paolo Padova trophy.
