Projects for Goal 4

The University’s commitment to the implementation of Goal 4 targets is expressed in the various areas of its institutional activity (teaching, research and Third Mission) and transversally in the three dimensions of sustainable development (economic, social and environmental). In addition to this, there are a series of actions, events and initiatives for dissemination and Third Mission carried out by the University in order to intensify the promotion of Goal 4 among the university community and citizens.

Services for the territory

The University offers the entire community and the territory (i.e. For those not studying at university) numerous services, opportunities and events that are open to the general public, including:
1) free access to libraries and to all the services offered by the University Library System, and the possibility to take advantage of courses whose attendance allows for Open Badgecertification, etc.
2) free online courses held in English (Massive Open Online Courses – MOOC) which aim to reach a wider and more widespread audience and which issue a certificate. Unipd courses are hosted on different platforms, such as EduOpen and Federica EU Platform; among others, people can also attend free online courses offered by FutureLearn and Arqus;
3) access to university museums rich in cultural, artistic and educational heritage; in particular, staff and students of the Univeristy of Padua can benefit from free entrance to cultural sites of the University;
4) numerous eventsopen to the public, including the Universareview;
5) voluntary student-run schemes.

The University undertakesseveral initiatives of public engagement and knowledge dissemination, such as events, festivals, and specific projects, some of which involve the direct participation of the student community.
