A day of Yoga for the University of Padua staff

Wednesday, June 21, after years of limitations due to the pandemic, the University of Padua is full of renewed energy by opening its doors to the celebration of the summer solstice, the longest day of the year.
To celebrate this special day, the entire University staff participates in an open day of Yoga in one of the most beautiful and evocative spaces of the University, the Polo Beato Pellegrino.
The event will involve over one hundred people and will take place from 7.30 pm at the outer cloister of the Polo Beato Pellegrino.
The initiative is one of the projects dedicated to well-being and sport promoted by the University, and welcomes the YogaYnsula Association to offer a public Yoga experience on such a special day of the year. In line with Goal 3 – Health and Wellbeing – of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, it is since 2017 that the University of Padua has been supporting initiatives aimed at promoting health, sport, well-being and healthy and sustainable lifestyles for all people who study and work at the University. These initiatives helped rank the University of Padua in the fifth edition of the University Impact Rankings, the ranking elaborated by the international newspaper Times Higher Education (THE): out of 1,705 universities (of which 498 are European) from 115 different countries that participated, the University ranks 33rd in the world (improving on the 47th position obtained in 2022) in Goal 3 – Health and Wellbeing, which points out the ability to promote a healthy life and guarantee social well- being, reducing the incidence of diseases.
This important achievement is the result of a constant and growing commitment that the University has always addressed when it comes to well-being, sport and health.
