Arqus Green Mobility Days: spreading the culture of sustainability in the international mobility framework

The first edition ofGreen Mobility Days,a full calendar of events involving universities of theArqus allianceto raise student awarenessofsustainability, particularly concerninginternational mobility, will commence in April 2024.
The initiative, held in April, a month traditionally associated with the celebration of International Earth Day,has a two-fold objective, precisely to identify and disseminate solutions that make our daily city life less impactful, also with a view to short study trips, and to invite the academic community to adopt a greener approach to international mobility.
Hence,on Saturday 13 and Tuesday, 16 April, the University staff, in cooperation withESN – Erasmus Student Network, will set up a number ofinfopoints in Padua to play games, offer gadgets, and provide advice on how to improve our ecological footprint.
- On Saturday, 13 April from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pmin Piazza Gasparotto there will be a free market promoted by the association Xena to exchange second-hand clothes and objects.
- On Tuesday, 16 April from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm, an infopoint will be set up in viale Colombo, Padua. Two side events will take place at the same time, the first at the Cittadella dello Studente, in the afternoon, featuring a scooter testing area organised by Dott (main access from via Venezia 8). The second event, which starts at 4.00 pm at the Nievo residence in via Aldo Moro 4, will include a cycle workshop course sponsored by the ESU and organised by La Mente Comune
The entire academic community is also invited to participate in theGreen Mobility Days award,a prize for the most innovative and impactful project or idea that has emerged within the Arqus alliance on the issue of environmental sustainability.
