Alias careers: new guidelines for students at the University of Padua

New guidelines for the management of the Alias Careers of students at the University of Paduawere approved on Tuesday, 10 May.With a view to procedural simplification and greater protection of transgender people’s privacy, also in response to the objectives contained in the GEP 2022-2024 and the PAP 2021-2023.
The Alias career, which can be accessed by all persons enrolled in the University’s study courses and post-graduate courses, provides for the issuing of an alternative identity that replaces the personal data with the ‘chosen’ name chosen by the person engaged in the gender reassignment process.
The file, initiated upon request, no longer requires supporting documentation. The University and the applicant sign a confidentiality agreement in which the manner of use of the Career Alias within the University is defined and a contact person is identified among the technical-administrative staff for the management of the procedure and the supervision of the correct execution of the agreement.
The University then issues the university badge and e-mail account with new generalities, which enable all career actions within the University.
