Science4All 2025: science returns to the spotlight in Padua

Science4All, the science festival organised by the University of Padua and aimed at the entire community, schools and families, returns to Padua for its fourth edition. After the great success of the 2024 edition, which involved over 7,000 students, 43 university facilities, 240 activities and thousands of visitors to the city, the 2025 edition is set to be even richer, more accessible and more participatory.
From 26 to 28 September 2025, the city will come alive with over 250 free activities, including workshops, escape rooms, games, science cafés, concerts, guided tours, shows and meetings with researchers.
Once again this year, the festival will involve numerous university and museum venues, such as the Botanical Gardens, the Museum of Nature and Man, the Museum of Veterinary Medicine in Legnaro and the Museum of Adriatic Zoology in Chioggia, thus extending its activities beyond the city centre.
The event opens on Friday 26 September at 5 p.m. in the Cortile Antico of Palazzo del Bo with a marathon of speed talks on research projects funded by the PNRR, continuing into the evening with multimedia installations and the special opening of the university museums for European Researchers’ Night.
A new feature this year: the festival runs until Sunday afternoon with activities continuing until 6:30 p.m.
The main attraction of the event is the Boulevard delle Scienze, a route through the historic centre with 67 interactive stands between Palazzo del Bo, Liston, Piazza Cavour, Via San Fermo and Via Santa Lucia, where the public can explore science in a simple and engaging way. Among the most eagerly awaited activities are virtual reality experiences, biology and neuroscience experiments, racing cars and motorcycles, educational games and interactive shows.
Special events include:
Clubbing made in Italo music talk with DJ set at the Museum of Nature and Man
the show “Rivoluzioni” in the Sala dei Giganti (Saturday 27th, with special ticket price)
The Trial of the Man in the Aula Magna, where the audience plays the role of the jury
The return of the MagiChimici company, with two science and magic shows on Sunday 28th at the Teatro Ruzante
the chess tournament open to everyone, even beginners
The festival continues in autumn with an extensive programme for schools: from 10 to 21 November for primary and lower secondary schools, and from 1 to 5 December for upper secondary schools, with activities dedicated to the environment, health, literature and social sciences.
Science4All 2025 is organised with the support of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo and Associazione Amici dell’Università di Padova, under the patronage of the Municipality of Padua and in collaboration with national scientific and cultural institutions, museums and research centres. Sponsors include: Alì S.p.A., Fidia Farmaceutici, fischer Italia, Tigotà and Unox.
