women and new parent services
With a view to guaranteeing and disseminating gender and equal opportunities policies, the University is providing a number of services for the academic community so that the university environment becomes an increasingly welcoming, inclusive place that is attentive to the needs of those who study and work there.
There are currently two baby changing stations that can be used by new mothers who are students, lecturers and workers at the Department of Statistical Sciences. There is also a free vending machine for sanitary towels in the same building. Both are located in the bathrooms on the ground floor, while another changing table is located in the bathroom in the east wing of the first floor.
The Department of Mathematics has also installed a free sanitary towel dispenser on its premises, which can be picked up using tokens available from the secretary’s office, and a changing station on the third floor of Torre Archimede.
Quiet room
Another service provided by the University of Padua is the ‘quiet rooms’, protected spaces that can be used for special needs, including nursing and first aid.
To find out the locations and rules for using the rooms, visit the dedicated page.
