The M’illumino di meno 2022 Campaign Pedal, Revive, and Improve

Under the UniPadova Sustainable action plan, the University of Padua again participates in the annual M’illumino di meno 2022 Campaign as promoted by Caterpillar and Rai Radio 2 on Friday, March 11, 2022.
In addition to turning off lights, participants are encouraged to pedal, revive, and improve their lifestyles by wasting fewer resources. You can reduce the environmental impact of your homes through energy efficiency by switching to renewable energy sources.
Along with hundreds of monuments and buildings throughout Italy, the lights illuminating the historic Palazzo Bo, Palazzo Storione, and Palazzo Santo Stefano will shut off at 6:00 pm.
IMPROVE. The Vice-Rector for Sustainability and the Director General will share the University’s accomplishments in reducing its environmental impact and urban renewal projects through building renovations to improve the city.
REVIVE. For the “revive” theme we tell through a video spread through social networks the project “Bosco 800“, which provides for the planting of 800 trees on a slope particularly damaged by the storm Vaia of the Asiago Plateau. Professor Vincenzo d’Agostino and Professor Raffaele Cavalli of TESAF, the promoting department, gave an initial preview of the project.
At the end of 2021, the University of Padua chose to host the “Falcone Tree” Project at the Agripolis Campus to support the 50,000-tree planting initiative promoted by Caterpillar, Rai Radio2, and Rai for Social Issues.
