The #arpaVideo contest: an opportunity for students

TheRegional Agency for Environmental Prevention and Protection of Veneto(ARPAV – Agenzia Regionale per la Prevenzione e Protezione Ambientale del Veneto) has launched, in collaboration with Regione del Veneto and Ufficio Scolastico Regionale per il Veneto (USRV), the regional contest#arpaVideo 2022. The call, aimed at secondary schools and college students up to 24 years, aims to promote among young people the issues related to the 17 goals of the UN Agenda 2030 and awareness of the need for a collective commitment to more sustainable lifestyles.
Participating schools and students will have the opportunity to make avideo that tells, through the language of film, actions and behaviors to be adopted at the local level, in support of sustainable development. The videos will have to refer in particular to the following macro-areas identified by the Regional Strategy for Sustainable Development of Veneto:
- Innovationanddigitalizationfor thecircular economy
- Protectionand enhancement of thesocio-environmental ecosystem
- Reduction ofair, water and land pollution
A jury specially appointed by ARPAV will select the best videos, which will be awarded during an event in May 2022.
The winning videos will have visibility on the website and social channels of ARPAV, and will also be presented in a dedicated event during the 79th Venice International Film Festival and at meetings organized by the Veneto Region as part of the Regional Strategy for Sustainable Development.
The awards will consist, for the schools category, in contributions for the purchase of digital educational services and materials for educational use and, for students up to 24 years old, in contributions for the purchase of audiovisual services and materials.
