The great hypocrisies on climate. A dialogue with authors Roger Abravanel and Luca D’Agnese

On Monday 12 May, at 6 p.m., the Festival of Sustainable Development continues with a new event, dedicated to the topic of climate change.
The Aula Magna of the Palazzo del Bo will host the presentation of the book Le grandi ipocrisie sul clima, by Roger Abravanel and Luca D’Agnese, published by Solferino Editore, with the aim of shedding light on many controversial aspects, bringing a lot of data and a lucid view of what is happening to the climate and what it makes sense to do to react.
The issue of climate change represents an immense challenge for society and the economy, yet knowledge about the phenomenon is at best sketchy. In many cases, the information on the basis of which decisions are made, at many levels, is incomplete or distorted in order to justify choices in the interests of one party.
The meeting will open with the institutional greetings of Professor Francesca da Porto, Vice-Rector for Sustainability, which will be followed by the presentation of the book, which the authors, Roger Abravanel and Luca D’Agnese, will discuss with Elena Bonafè, Head of the Environment, Energy, Security and Sustainability Area of Confindustria Veneto Est, Francesca da Porto, University of Padua, and Carlo Carraro, University of Venice. The meeting will be moderated by Arturo Lorenzoni.
The event is sponsored by Confindustria Veneto Est.
