UNI-Impresa 2024 call for proposals: supporting innovation through the encounter between universities and businesses
The new call for proposals ‘Uni-Impresa 2024’, the University of Padua’s co-financing programme established in 2017 with the aim of fostering collaboration between the University and the business world and contributing to mutual enrichment in terms of innovation, economic development and social development of the territory, is now open.
For this reason, the University of Padua’s Third Mission and Research Enhancement Office, together with Uni-Impresa, is committed to supporting and promoting research projects carried out through an integrated action between Departments, University Centres and public and private partners, providing the latter with Open Innovation and technology transfer acceleration tools useful to increase their competitive advantage.
The projects evaluated must be aimed at the joint implementation of research activities applied to the partner’s economic sector of reference, favouring multi-disciplinary approaches, and must have an applicative nature with a high socio-economic impact, without limitations of scientific area or economic sector. The research activities may be conducted in university facilities, at the partners’ premises and in the testing and experimentation sites most suitable for the execution of the research.
The University will finance the university structures (Departments and Centres) that will submit joint projects to carry out the planned research activities and the private and public partners will contribute financially to the project through the provision of a contribution corresponding to the amount financed by the University. The planned budget amounts to a total of EUR 465,000 (maximum funding per project of EUR 50,000).
The call is addressed to professors, researchers, post-docs of the University of Padua and public and private companies and organisations, and will be presented with anon-line meetingon Tuesday 14 January 2025 at 5 p.m.
The deadline is set for 7 March 2025 for lecturers, researchers and post-docs at the University of Padua, while companies wishing to participate by sending their proposals to the Office for the Third Mission and Enhancement of Research must fill in the online formby 31 January 2025.
