PON “Research and Innovation” 2014-2020: activated 56 research grants on Green topics

There are a total of 56 research contracts on issues related to environmental sustainability activated by the University of Padua on the funds of the PON “Research and Innovation” 2014-2020, under which the University has received 8.4 million euros. The resources, identified by Ministerial Decree no. 1062 of August 10, 2021, are aimed at the activation of type A research contracts for projects concerning Innovation and Green themes.
The University has issued a call for applicationsfor the assignment of 13 fixed-term research contracts on innovation issues (Action IV.4) and 56 contracts on Green issues (Action IV.6). For Action IV.6, which aims to fund research with particular reference to the green transition, the conservation of the ecosystem and biodiversity, and the reduction of the impacts of climate change, the University has allocated resources of approximately 7 million euros.
These resources have been allocated to the activation of 55 three-year contracts, in addition to a contract renewal, for a total of 56 grants for projects on green issues. Embracing numerous scientific disciplines, the funded projects allow to enhance the transversal commitment of researchers of the University in different areas of sustainability.
