Intergenerational Housing Project: applications open in January

The Municipality of Padua is launching the third editionof theIntergenerational Housing Project, an initiative designed to respond to the growing demand for affordable housing among the university population and, at the same time, to promote solidarity between different generations.
The project connects university students with citizens over the age of 65 who are willing to share their homes, promoting a housing model based on collaboration, mutual support and the enhancement of social relationships.
Applications for students will be open from 7 to 20 January 2026: it will be possible to apply by filling out an online form and indicating your housing preferences. The availability of accommodation will depend on the participation of owners, with a new offer that will also cover the outskirts of the city.
At the same time, people over the age of 65 interested in hosting a student can indicate their availability using a special online form. They will then be contacted for an interview to assess the most suitable match.
For further information or assistance in completing the forms, a dedicated help desk is available at the Progetto Giovani office on the second floor of the Altinate San Gaetano Cultural Centre in Padua.
