Arqus publishes the first calls for research and PhD mobility

The calls “Research Exchange Stays” and “Networking Site Visits” are addressed to doctoral students, postgraduate students, researchers and lecturers from the seven universities forming the Arqus Alliance.
Among other activities, Arqus aims to support research mobility in partner universities by financing travel expenses and providing opportunities for further intensification of cooperation with the host university. It also aims to support joint doctoral training within the group of partner universities by enabling site visits and cooperation activities.
These calls offer two types of residency programmes:
The Research Exchange Stays programmeis aimed at lecturers, research fellows, including doctoral students, advanced master’s students from all schools and fields of research; the planned stay has a minimum duration of two weeks and a maximum duration of three months depending on the funding category. In the context of doctoral training, this programme can also be used to initiate collaboration with a doctoral co-advisor from one of the Arqus partner universities.
The Networking Site Visits programme is aimed at doctoral groups with a common research topic offering a structured training programme for doctoral students. This programme aims to initiate future joint projects. Joint activities are e.g. research seminars and workshops on innovative methodologies and theories. In this case, Arqus offers travel grants for 3 to 5 doctoral candidates plus 1 to 2 senior researchers per doctorate.
