A call for papers for research and innovation in the agri-food sector

The international magazine Foods will collect in the special edition “Innovations in the Food System: Exploring the Future of Food” the most significant contributions related to research projects in different areas of the agri-food sector, selected through a Call for Papers.

The publication stems from the need to enhance innovation and technological applications that make the Food System more sustainable and efficient, giving a significant change of direction in the management of resources and food production. The agri-food chain is in fact responsible for one third of greenhouse gas emissions and significant impacts on the environment, such as the consumption of most natural resources and the loss of biodiversity.

Given the interdisciplinary nature of the publication, the Call for Papers will be open to researchers involved in many areas of research related to the food sector. Examples include agricultural sciences, food engineering, chemistry and microbiology applied to food, economics and law in their applications in the agri-food sector, and also the field of artificial intelligence.

The deadline for participation in the Call for papers is June 30, 2022.
