Sustainability Ambassadors
This course unit is addressed to those who want to learn more about sustainability, through didactic modules and practical laboratory activities, with the aim of stimulating greater knowledge on everyone’s responsibilities and offering practical tools for more effective engagement in solving environmental problems in urban areas.
The course, which is proposed by the Department of Chemical Sciences of the University and included in the degree course in “Environmental sciences and technology”,was designed in collaboration with the municipality of Padua and AgegasApsAmga S.p.a. It has also obtained the patronage of the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development-RUS.
It provides 6 training credits; it is open to bachelor and master degree students from all schools and courses of the University of Padua, to technical administrative staff of the university and to citizenry.
During A.Y. 2023/2024, 20 free places have been reserved for the staff of the University of Padua and 10 free seats reserved for the staff of AcegasApsAmga S.p.a.

Peace and nonviolent conflict transformation
This course aims to provide basic knowledge related to the main models and paradigms in peace studies, active nonviolence and disarmament. It also delves into the topics of international law and organization for peace and human rights, methods of conflict analysis and transformation to avoid violent degeneration, peace and human security interventions, introducing a gender approach in conflict situations, and peace and human rights education programs.
The course is proposed by the “Antonio Papisca” Human rights unversity center and is included in the degree course in “Political sciences, international relations, human rights”.
It provides 6 training credits; it is open to bachelor and master degree students from all schools and courses of the University of Padua and to technical administrative staff of the university.
During A.Y. 2023/2024, 50 free places have been reserved for the staff of the University of Padua.

Gender, Knowledge and Social Justice
This course is aimed at those who wish to investigate how gender relations work in different spheres of people’s lives, with the aim to show stereotypes and prejudices that condition social interactions and encourage a change of perspective which is necessary to build a more sustainable and equitable society.
The course is proposed by the “Elena Cornaro” University Center and included in the the degree courses in “European and american languages and literatures ” and “Modern languages for communication and international cooperation”.
It provides 6 training credits; it is open to bachelor and master degree students from all schools and courses of the University of Padua and to technical administrative staff of the university.
During A.Y. 2023/2024, 50 free places have been reserved for the staff of the University of Padua.

Energy and Sustainability in the XXI century
The course aspires to provide an all-round basic knowledge of the technical, political-economic and social impact issues related to the energy sector, with a particular focus on the current ecological-energy transitions to renewable sources, in order to help understand of the complexity of the mechanisms and dynamics governing the energy issue at national and international levels.
The course is proposed by the “’Levi Cases’ Center for Economics and Technology Energy” and included in the degree course in “Electrical Energy Engineering”.
It provides 6 training credits; it is open to bachelor and master degree students from all schools and courses of the University of Padua and to technical administrative staff of the university.
