The General Course ‘Ambassadors of Sustainability’ is back: an opportunity to learn about, promote and practise sustainability

For the 2025-2026 academic year, the University of Padua is relaunching the General Course ‘Ambassadors of Sustainability: Understanding, Promoting and Practising Sustainability’, a 6-credit course designed to provide concrete tools and cross-cutting skills on multidimensional issues related to sustainability in order to reinforce a sense of responsibility for caring for the environment.

Part of the degree programme in Environmental Science and Technology, the course is aimed at students enrolled in all bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes at the University and is also open to University staff and the general public through enrolment as a single course.

Thanks to the collaboration with the Municipality of Padua and AcegasApsAmga S.p.A. and the support of the Public Engagement Office of the Communication and Marketing Area, the course has obtained the sponsorship of the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development (RUS) and presents a rich programme based on a multidisciplinary approach and a strong link with the territory. Specifically, it consists of 8 teaching modules, for a total of 10 four-hour lessons, and 4 practical workshops, which will take place from March, 6 to June, 5 2026, on Friday afternoons from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm in the Sala Paladin of Palazzo Moroni.

University students can include the course in their study plan according to the timetable for their degree programmes, and enrolment as a single course is open until February 25, 2026. In addition, for the 2025-2026 academic year, up to 20 members of University staff can participate free of charge. Those who attend at least 90% of the activities will receive an Open Badge.
