M’Illumino di Meno. M’Illumino di Scienza: Unipd recounts research on sustainable energy

In 2026, the University of Padua will once again participate in “M’Illumino di Meno”, the national campaign promoted by Caterpillar and Rai Radio 2 on the occasion of Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles Day, scheduled for Monday 16 February 2026.
The theme of the new edition, ‘M’Illumino di Meno. M’Illumino di Scienza’ (I’ll use less light. I’ll use science), focuses on the role of scientific research as a fundamental tool for addressing environmental challenges and developing alternative energy solutions that are more sustainable and capable of reducing dependence on fossil fuels with a view to energy transition.
This is the context for the outreach activities of the Public Engagement Office – ACOM of the University of Padua, which is producing a series of short videos dedicated to UniPD research in the field of renewable energy. The videos will showcase the University’s projects, studies and expertise, making the results and applications of scientific research accessible to a wider audience. The content will be published on the UniPadova Sostenibile Instagram and Facebook channels during the campaign.
Finally, the University invites departments, facilities and the entire academic community to contribute to the visibility of the initiative by reporting any related activities, projects and initiatives carried out and sharing content on institutional social media channels, tagging @unipadovasostenibile and using the hashtag #milluminodimeno, to highlight the collective contribution of the University of Padua to this national event.
More information about the event can be found here: M’Illumino di Meno 2026.
