At the <\/span><b>EurOMA 2025<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">conference, held in Milan with the participation of<\/span> <b>746 scholars from all over the world<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and<\/span> <b>548 scientific contributions<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">presented, Danese received the<\/span> <b>Chris Voss Best Paper Award Runner Up<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The award-winning paper, entitled<\/span> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFrom centralised to shared supply chain governance: insights from a longitudinal case study in the circular economy\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, is the result of an international collaboration involving, in addition to Professor Danese, engineer<\/span> <b>Mateja Zavadlav<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Professor<\/span> <b>Pietro Romano<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(University of Udine) and Professor <\/span><b>Jury Gualandris<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Ivey Business School).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The research addresses a highly topical issue: the evolution of governance in<\/span> <b>circular supply chains<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">production systems that adopt innovative solutions to reduce waste, recover resources and valorise materials that would otherwise be discarded. In stark contrast to traditional, consumption- and disposal-oriented models, circular supply chains promote the  <\/span><b>ecological transition<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">through reuse and recycling.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The focus of the study is the shift from<\/span> <b>centralised governance models<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; where decision-making power is concentrated &#8211; <\/span>to <b>shared forms of governance<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">where responsibilities and decisions are distributed among a multiplicity of actors. At the <b>EurOMA 2025<\/b> conference, held in Milan with the participation of <b>746 scholars from all over the world<\/b> and <b>548 scientific contributions<\/b> presented, Danese received the <b>Chris Voss Best Paper Award Runner Up<\/b>.<\/p><p>The award-winning paper, entitled <i>\u201cFrom centralised to shared supply chain governance: insights from a longitudinal case study in the circular economy\u201d<\/i>, is the result of an international collaboration involving, in addition to Professor Danese, engineer <b>Mateja Zavadlav<\/b>, Professor <b>Pietro Romano<\/b> (University of Udine) and Professor <b>Jury Gualandris<\/b> (Ivey Business School).<\/p><p>The research addresses a highly topical issue: the evolution of governance in <b>circular supply chains<\/b>production systems that adopt innovative solutions to reduce waste, recover resources and valorise materials that would otherwise be discarded. In stark contrast to traditional, consumption- and disposal-oriented models, circular supply chains promote the <b>ecological transition<\/b> through reuse and recycling.<\/p><p>The focus of the study is the shift from <b>centralised governance models<\/b> - where decision-making power is concentrated - to <b>shared forms of governance<\/b>where responsibilities and decisions are distributed among a multiplicity of actors.
