The University of Padua for Circular and Sustainable Made in Italy

A delegation from the University of Padua successfully participated in the kick off meeting of project PNRR PE11 Made In Italy Circular and Sustainable (MICS) held on 2 February at the Made Competence Centre Industria 4.0 in Milan.
During the event, the 18 representatives of the University – professors, lecturers and researchers – presented their project ideas and participated in the afternoon discussions, identifying promising interdisciplinary partnerships.
The MICS project, based on an extended partnership financed under mission 4 Education and Research of the PNRR, aims to promote collaboration between partners, including the University of Padua, in developing common research paths in the fashion, furniture and automation sectors.
The University of Padua is involved in 5 of the 8 spokes – thematic research areas – of the project, and is the leading partner of spoke 8, focused on digitisation of the factory of the future. Through its active role in the partnership, the University has a further opportunity to establish itself as a key player in the field of circular and sustainable Italian manufacturing.
