The intergenerational co-housing project restarts, to foster solidarity relations between students and the over-65 population
The Municipality of Padua promotes the second edition of the intergenerational housing project, an opportunity to foster solidarity between the student population and citizens over 65 and, at the same time, to offer a solution to the increasing demand for affordable rent by students away from home.
The initiative was launched on an experimental basis in 2023, in collaboration with the municipality, the University of Padua, ESU and the social partners, and during the previous edition led to the formalisation of five co-housing experiences, one of which was also featured in an episode of Pif’s programme ‘Caro Marziano’.
Until 31 August you can apply either as an over-65 landlord willing to host, or as an off-site student seeking accommodation for the coming academic year.
The application must be submitted via the online application form, available on the Youth Project website.
For more information or to receive support in filling in, a dedicated desk is available at the ‘Progetto Giovani’ office on the second floor of the Centro Culturale Altinate San Gaetano.
