The fourth edition of the Duezerocinquezero Forum reflects on a more certain tomorrow

On 2-3-4 April 2025 the appointment with DuezeroCinquezero, National Forum on energy and sustainability, returns, as usual hosted in the spaces of the Centro Culturale Altinate – San Gaetano, now in its fourth edition.
The focus of the 2025 event revolves around the slogan ‘Let’s draw an uncertaintomorrow’ and will include a rich programme of events, including round tables, conferences, interviews, and in-depth information aimed at outlining the milestones that, in the near future, will have to guide Italy along the complex path of energy, ecological and sustainable transition. An ambitious and stimulating challenge, which will once again involve institutions, companies, academics, professionals, sector associations and citizens, who will be called upon to debate and discuss the changes taking place in the health sector, the energy market, industrial and European policies.
Work opens on Wednesday, 2 April, day one, with appointments dedicated to climate and competitiveness for companies and public administrations. The morning is dedicated to the challenges of climate adaptation, followed by an in-depth look at plans and projects for the energy and climate transition in the industrial area of Padua. The afternoon will instead host specific panels on Energy Communities, the use of multilevel governance and a data-driven approach to achieve carbon neutrality, industry competitiveness methods, and will close with a moment with speakers and experts on the false myths related to plastics.
The second day, Thursday 3 April, focuses on energy and opens with a panel describing the state of the art of Energy Service Companies 2025, followed by a discussion on regulatory hurdles and solutions along the way for the EPBD. In the afternoon, the discussion shifts to the ‘new electronic marketplace’ and its main challenges, and the highly topical subject of Energy Communities.
The third day, Friday 4 April, will focus on the sustainability issues of the health system; the discussion will focus on the challenges of the National Health System in relation to the new social and demographic landscape, the relationship between the public and private sectors in building a sustainable health system, a focus on the sustainability of medical devices and the MDR and Payback regulation, and, in closing, a panel discussion to shed light on nuclear power.
The event is sponsored by several institutions, including the University of Padua, on whose behalf Professor Francesca da Porto, Vice-rector of Sustainability, will speak on Wednesday 2 April at 2 pm.
Among the panelists, numerous professors from the University of Padua are also participating with their scientific contributions, including Andrea Pitacco, Full Professor of Tree Crops; Antonio Galgaro, Associate Professor of Geothermics and Energy and Sustainability in the 21st Century and Vice-Director of the Levi Cases Centre; Stefano Mammi, Professor of Biomaterials and Chemical Industry and Director of the Department of Chemical Sciences; Francesca Arcudi, Researcher; Luka Ðorđević, Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical Sciences; Arturo Lorenzoni, Professor of Energy Economics.
The event also sees the participation of representatives from the main national and regional institutions and various organisations, associations and companies in the area, some of which offer internship opportunities; in order to give the offers greater visibility, they are published in the online showcase of the University of Padua’s Career Service office (careers.unipd.it/en). Students and graduates can easily consult the showcase and apply directly to the offers they are interested in. Companies will contact the selected candidates to arrange interviews, which will take place during the Forum.
The event is promoted by the Municipality of Padua and Assoesco, with the technical-scientific support of WST Legal and the collaboration of Advertendo.
Participation in Forum events is free of charge, subject to registration, and open to the entire academic community and citizenship.
