ERA4Health: an international call for research projects to promote equitable access to health

The call for Increasing health equity through promoting healthy diets and physical activity (HealthEquity) designed by the partnership ‘Fostering a European Research Area for Health’ (ERA4Health) is now open with the aim of promoting equitable access to wellness and health on a global scale.
By encouraging coordination between the funding bodies of research projects, ERA4Health aims to foster international sharing of expertise, resources and innovative technologies to improve the lifestyle and eating habits of even the socio-economically disadvantaged.
Research proposals, which may also be implemented in collaboration with international partners, shall be submitted online by filling in the dedicated form, specifying the target audience and fully describing the objectives and actions envisaged, so as to demonstrate the policy and health impact on the previously identified stakeholders.
A specially appointed evaluation committee will assess the submitted proposals and score them on the basis of criteria of significance, impact and potential replicability.
The number of projects that can be funded, the eligible costs and the maximum funding ceiling are regulated by the individual funding bodies in Italy. They will draw up the final ranking list of proposals accepted and deemed eligible for funding. For Italy, the funding bodies are the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of University and Research.
The deadline for submitting proposals is 14 March 2023.
Details of participation requirements can be found on the webpage of the call, and in the call for applications.
