This is a scholarship in favour of graduates from an Italian university who have completed their degree or doctoral theses related to a sustainable and integrated vision of spatial governance with a focus on the role played by local authorities.
The prize, testifying to how university research can be a valid support for local policies, especially in the area of environmental sustainability, and in line with Emilio D’Alessio’s values, provides for three grants to be awarded to the first three winning theses and will be distributed as follows:
- First Prize: € 2,000.00 gross of taxes;
- Second Prize: € 1,500.00 gross fo taxes;
- Third Prize: € 1,000.00 gross of taxes.
Application is open to graduates, undergraduates and postgraduates of any Italian faculty (single-cycle specialisation, master’s or PhD), who have not already participated in the previous editions of the Prize and who have deposited their thesis with the university secretariat from December of the three years preceding the publication of the Call for Entries up to the date of submission.
Emphasis will be placed on the papers that, more than others, will be able to point out new paths to foster a further evolution of the culture of sustainable development in the urban context, proposing solutions for innovation and practical application in future years of European Policies in the local context on the issues of the environment and climate change, territorial management and valorisation, participatory planning, and the introduction of new territorial models of economy.
The call is supported by EuroCube with the patronage of the Municipality of Ancona, the Ancona Order of Architects, and the Conero Regional Park Authority.
The call deadline is 27 September 2024.
