Air Sickness: an art exhibition and reflection on pollution and environmental sustainability

On Thursday, 9 May 2024, as part of events scheduled at the University of Padua for the Festival of Sustainable Development 2024, an art exhibition entitled “Air Sickness” will open at the agora of the Beato Pellegrino Complex.
The 2022 Sustainable Art Prize,a project converging art and sustainability that witnesses a partnership between the University of Padua, Venetian universities Iuav and Ca’ Foscari, and the University of Verona, culminates with the exhibition “Air Sickness”, the outcome of artistic research on the theme of sustainability conducted by Laura Pugno with the collaboration of students from the four universities involved.
The artist, winner of the 2022 Sustainable Art Prize, encourages a reflection on the issue of air pollution and what we can concretely do to prevent this process from steadily deteriorating living conditions in our cities. It is linked to the great global challenges, consistently with the 17 objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The opening will be held at 6.00 pm. Attended by the artist, the event is open to the public. No reservation is required.
The exhibition will be open free of charge to the public from 10 May to 7 June 2024, Monday to Friday, from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm (excluding holidays), at the Agora of the Beato Pellegrino Complex.
